Nama Sankirtan
The greatness of Sri Ramakrishna lies in the fact that he taught a very simple and practical way for all the people to follow. He very often said that in the present age only a simple 'Nama Sankirtan' would suit all the people and not elaborate rites and ceremonies as prescribed by priests and Pundits. Every one who went to see him invariably put this question - 'Can I see God?' His reply was in the affirmative. He advised that Bhakti would be meaningless if there was no sincere yearning for God.
"The intenser the yearning becomes, the nearer to God you are. If there is no yearning and if there is no sadhana, bhakti is of no value and becomes fruitless."
