Vidyasagar asked M. What kind of paramahamsa the Master was, saying,"Does he wear an ochre cloth?"

M. :"No, sir . He is an unusual person . He wears a red- bordered cloth and polished slippers. He lives in a room in Rani Rasmani's temple garden. In his room there is a couch with a mattress and mosquito net. He has no outer indication of holiness. But he doesn't know anything but God. Day and night he thinks of God alone."  

"After I had experienced samadhi my mind craved intensely to hear only about God. I would always search for places where they were reciting or explaining the sacred books, such as the Bhagavatam, the Mahabharata , and the Adhyatma Ramayana." 

A spiritual mood was the natural state of his mind. The dark night of the new moon, associated with the black complexion Kali, intensified his spiritual exaltation.  Now and then he repeated 'Om' and the name of Kali. He whispered to M. :"Yes, God can be seen. X has had a vision of God."
