Maa Sayings...
Once Yogin-Ma got a doubt: "The Master was a man of such renunciation, and I see the Holy Mother so deeply engrossed in this wretched world, with all her brothers and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. I cannot understand this." One day while meditating on the Ganges Ghat, Yogin-Ma saw the Master. He was saying, "Look at that object floating on the Ganges." Yogin-Ma saw a new born baby tangled in entrails and filth, floating past in the Ganges. The Master now asked, "Can the Ganges be polluted by it? Can anything sully its purity? Know her to be like that. Do not doubt her. Know her (the Mother) and this (showing his own body) to be one." Returning from the Ganges, Yogin-Ma bowed down to the Holy Mother and said, "Mother, forgive me." "Why, Yogin? What happened?" the Holy Mother enquired. Yogin-Ma then narrated the incident and said, "I was unfaithful to you. So the Master made it clear to me today."
The Mother smiled a little and said, "What of that? Doubts will arise and again faith will come. This way alone faith is strengthened. Gradually, after many such attempts, firm faith will come."

Maa Sayings...
One lady devotee used to come to the Holy Mother at the Udbodhan. The Mother was quite fond of her. She was not of a good character. So among the monks, many used to wish that she did not come there. When the Holy Mother was apprised of this, she said, "On the Ganges so many impure things float by. Does the Ganges ever become impure thereby?"

Sri Ramakrishna with Pundit Shashadhar
MASTER ( TO PUNDIT) : "When I first heard about you, I inquired whether you were merely erudite or whether you had discrimination and renunciation. A pundit who doesn't know how to discriminate between the Real and the unreal is no pundit at all.
" There is no harm in teaching others if the preacher has a commission from the Lord. Nobody can confound a preacher who teaches people after having received the command of God. Getting a ray of light from the goddess of learning, a man becomes so powerful that before him big scholars seem mere earthworms.
" When the lamp is lighted the moths come in swarms. They don't have to be invited. In the same way, the preacher who has a commission from God need not invite people to hear him. He doesn't have to announce the time of his lectures. He possesses such irresistible attraction that people come to him of their own accord. People of all classes, even kings and aristocrats, gather around him. They say to him : ' Revered sir, what can we offer you ? Here are mangoes, sweets, money, shawls, and other things. What will you be pleased to accept ? In that case I say to them : ' Go away. I don't care for these. I don't want anything.'
" Does the magnet say to the iron , ' Come near me ? That is not necessary . Because of the attraction of the magnet, the iron rushes to it.

Referring to initiation by Mantra, I said to her, "Mother, what's the need of taking the Mantra from a teacher? Suppose a man does not repeat his Mantra will it not do for him if he simply repeats, 'Mother Kali, Mother Kali'?"
Mother: The Mantra purifies the body. Man becomes pure by repeating the Mantra of God. Listen to a story. One day Narada went to Vaikuntha to see the Lord and had a long conversation with Him. Narada had not, at that time, been initiated. After Narada left the place, the Lord said to Lakshmi, "Purify the place with cow-dung." "Why, Lord?" asked Lakshmi. "Narada is your great devotee. Why, then, do you say this?" The Lord said, "Narada has not, as yet, received his initiation. The body cannot be pure without initiation."
One should accept the Mantra from a Guru at least for the purification of the body. The Vaishnava, after initiating the disciple, says to him, "Now all depends upon your mind." It is said, "The human teacher utters the Mantra into the ear; but God "breathes the spirit into the soul."

[4/17, 10:07] Suri Jio: SWAMI ARUPANANDA :- “One day at Jayrambati a certain Swami approached the Mother with a paper, a pen and an inkpot, and said, "Mother, we are getting very little milk from our only cow; it is not sufficient to meet our needs. So I am thinking of buying another cow. If you kindly permit, I shall write to some devotees for money" The Mother replied, "Very well, write. You are taking me for an instrument; aren't you? You think that if you write to devotees, money will be forthcoming don't you?"
After he left, the Mother smilingly said, "See, what desire he cherishes! Once when Baburam was suffering from stomach trouble, I gave him sugar-candy syrup to drink. The Master noticed it and said one day, "What did you give Baburam to drink?" I replied, "Sugar-candy syrup." On hearing this he remarked, "They will have to be (all- renouncing) monks. What ill-habits are you helping them to form?"

SWAMI ARUPANANDA: - Disciple: Are you the Mother of all?
Mother: Yes.
Disciple: Even of these birds and animals?
Mother: Yes, of these also.
Disciple: Then why should they suffer so much?
Mother: In this birth they must have these experiences.
One evening I had the following conversation with the Holy Mother in her room.
Mother: You all have come to me, because you are my own. Disciple: Am I your 'own'?
Mother: Yes, my 'own'. Is there any doubt about it? If a man is the very 'own' of another, they remain inseparably connected in the successive cycles of time.
Disciple: All address you as Apani, but I could not do so. The word Tumi comes spontaneously and naturally. Mother: That is good, indeed. It denotes an intimate relationship.

Master .... Men often think that they have understood Brahman fully.
Once an ant went to a Hill of sugar .
One grain filled its stomach. Taking another grain in its mouth, it started homeward.
On its way, it thought ......., Next time I shall carry home the whole hill ....
That's the way , shallow minds think....
They do not know that Brahman is beyond
one's words and thoughts.
However great a man may be, how much can he know of Brahman ?
Sukadeva and sages like him may have been big ants ..... but even they could carry at the utmost eight or ten grains of sugar .....
As for what has been said in the Vedas and the Puranas , do you know what it is like ?
Suppose a man has seen the ocean , and
somebody asks him..... Well , what is the ocean like ?
The man opens his mouth as wide as he can and says.....
What a Sight !! What
tremendous waves and sounds!!
The description of Brahman in the Sacred books is like that. It is said in the Vedas
that Brahman is of the nature of Bliss. 🙏 🙏
It is Satchidananda . 🙏 🙏. 🙏 🙏
Suka and other sages stood on the shore of this Ocean of Brahman and saw and touched the water. 🙏
According to one school of thought,
they never plunged into it .
Those who do cannot come back to
the world again . 🙏 🙏

OUT OF OUR DEEP AFFLICTION RESCUE US, O REDEEMER! WE PRAY

Adhar had invited the Master to come to his house on the occasion of the Durga Puja festival.
The Master went into the worship hall to see the evening worship. When it was over, he remained standing there in an abstracted mood and sang in praise of the Divine Mother:
Out of my deep affliction rescue me, O Redeemer!
Terrified by the threats of the King of Death am I!
Left to myself, I shall perish soon;
Save me, oh, save me now, I pray!
Mother of all the worlds! Thou, the Support of mankind!
Thou, the Bewitcher of all, the Mother of all that has life!
Child of Himalaya, Giver of moksha!
Sakti! The universe sings Thy praise.
Thou art the Spouse of Siva, the Ever-blessed, the All;
Sometimes Thou takest Form and sometimes art Absolute.
Eternal Beloved of Mahadeva,
Who can fathom Thine infinite glories?

Disciple: If He be really our 'own', then why should we pray unto Him in order to see Him? One who is truly my 'own' would come to me even if I did not call on Him. Does God do things for us as our parents do?
Mother: Yes, that is true, my child. He Himself has become our father and mother. He Himself brings us up as our parents. It is He alone who looks after us. Otherwise where were you and where are you now? Your parents brought you up, but at last realized that you did not belong to them. Have you not seen a cuckoo brought up in the nest of a crow?

TOUCHING STORY OF A 93-YEAR OLD!
*THANK AND PRAISE GOD*
After a 93 year old in Italy got better in the hospital, he was told to pay for the ventilator for one day, and the old man cried. The doctor advised him not to cry over the bill.
What the old man said made all the doctors cry.
Grandpa said, "I’m not crying because of the money I have to pay. I can pay it easily."
I cry because I have been breathing God's air for 93 years, but I never paid for it. It takes 5000 lira to use a ventilator in a hospital for one day!!
*Do you know how much I owe God? I didn't thank God for that before*.
Grandpa's words are worth for our reflection. When we breathe the air freely, without pain or illness, no one takes the air seriously.
Only when we enter the hospital, can we know that even breathing oxygen, with a ventilator costs money!
Cherish the time when we can breathe freely at our HOME
