The Ranganathaswamy Temple has the largest temple tower(Gopuram) for a temple in the world. It is also probably one of the only temples with multiple entrances.
The Rajagopuram of the temple, that was inaugurated in 1987.
The temple occupies an area of nearly 156 acres, and has 21 Gopurams and 54 sub-shrines, with a perimeter of over 4km.
